The Arc of Your Life’s Story
There is an arc to your life’s story, and it is comprised of several significant transitions. In these transitions, you can choose to resist the inevitable changes occurring or you learn to surrender and embrace the new.
Resisting changes and holding on to outdated through-lines means life will inevitably become much harder. Opening yourself up to new ways of being, doing, and having what you desire, means life becomes much more joyous.
By surrendering to what is unfolding, you allow the theme of your old through-line to gracefully come to an end, which makes room in your life for a new theme and a new through-line to emerge.
As motivated as you might be to dig deeper into your beliefs and discard the ones you no longer want, it is easy to put it off. If you resist long enough, as I did, your true self has a way of forcing the issue. When that happens, it can feel like your entire life is falling apart, that’s because it is.
From someone who has had to go through this more than once, not only will those stress-filled, hopeless moments pass, but when they do, you will be reunited with the one person you’ve been running from your whole life. That person is your beautiful, true self.
